Project Statement

This project was conceived as part of my Master’s thesis in Photography and Art Direction in Barcelona. It marks the culmination of a visual journey deeply rooted in symbolic storytelling and the evocative power of the image.

My creative approach centers around crafting a magical, dreamlike, and theatrical atmosphere, imbued with emotion, mystery, and timeless beauty. I draw inspiration from classical elements that evoke Greek mythology and ancient feminine archetypes, with the aim of transporting the viewer into a parallel universe, where time is suspended and perception becomes a poetic act of discovery.

In this editorial, the central figure is a nymph guarding an enchanted garden: an ethereal, solitary, and powerful presence who dwells in a liminal space between reality and fantasy. Through carefully orchestrated art direction, styling, and setting, I present a visual narrative that blends ancestral symbols with a contemporary sensibility.

Each image acts as a scene within a larger narrative, a sensory journey into the unknown, a visual fairytale that invites the viewer to discover, remember, or imagine. Light, color, and composition serve an aesthetic that balances delicacy with drama, contemplation with emotional intensity.

“The Enchanted Labyrinth” is both a technical exploration and a creative statement: a tribute to the invisible, to the symbolic, and to art’s ability to open portals to other possible worlds.
